In 2026, we will celebrate our 90th anniversary since starting operations.

1935〜: October 1935

NIPPON CARBIDE INDUSTRIES was founded, capitalized at 837,500yen and with its Head Office at 751,
Motoshin,Michishita-mura Shimoniikawa-gun, Toyama Pref.; January 1936

We acquired Kokusan Hiryou KK.; February 1936

Our factory operation started (at what is now our Uozu Factory).
1940〜: January 1940

Our Head Office moved to 2-1, 2-Chome Marunouchi, Kojimachi-ku, Tokyo.; June 1941

Our Osaka Business Place was opened (renamed Osaka Branch in August 1962).; August 1947

Sanwa Kagaku Kogyou KK was founded (renamed SANWA CHEMICAL CO., LTD. in May 1967,
which is now our consolidated subsidiary).; May 1949

We were listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
1950〜: June 1959

Construction of our Hayatsuki Factory started.
1960〜: July 1961

We were listed on the Osaka Stock Exchange.; April 1962

VINYFRAME INDUSTRY CO., LTD. was established (now our consolidated subsidiary).; August 1963

Our Head Office moved to 3-1, 3-Chome Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.; July 1969

DIAMOND ENGINEERING CO., LTD. was incorporated (now our consolidated subsidiary).
1980〜: January 1980

We entered the electronic material market by acquiring equity ownership
in HOKURIKU CERAMICS CO., LTD. (which is now our consolidated subsidiary).; April 1988

Thai Decal Co., Ltd. was established
(renamed NIPPON CARBIDE INDUSTRIES (THAILAND) CO., LTD. in April 2021,
which is now our consolidated subsidiary).; October 1988

ELECTRO CERAMICS (THAILAND) CO., LTD. was established
(now our consolidated subsidiary).
1990〜: January 1990

We acquired equity ownership in Kanto Ouka Co., Ltd. (which is renamed
NCI Electronics Co., Ltd. in April,1997, we absorbed NCI Electronics Co., Ltd. in December, 2018).; May 1991

Nikka Polymer Co., Ltd. was established
(enabling our entry into retroreflective sheeting market, Nikka Polymer Co., Ltd. was dissolved in June, 2013).; September 1991

NIPPON CARBIDE INDUSTRIES (USA), INC. was established
(now our consolidated subsidiary).; December 1994

PT Alviny Indonesia was established
(renamed PT NIPPON CARBIDE INDUSTRIES INDONESIA in January 2023,
which is now our consolidated subsidiary).; 〃

NIPPON CARBIDE INDUSTRIES (HANGZHOU) CO., LTD. was established (now our consolidated subsidiary).; February 1997

NCI (VIETNAM) CO., LTD. was established (now our consolidated subsidiary).; January 1999

NIPPON CARBIDE INDUSTRIES (SOUTH CAROLIINA), INC. was established (now our consolidated subsidiary).; August 1999

2010〜: October 2011

NIPPON CARBIDE INDIA PVT. LTD. was established (now our consolidated subsidiary).; January 2012

Nissetsu Co., Ltd. was established.; August 2014

NIPPON CARBIDE INDUSTRIA DO BRASIL LTDA. was established (now our consolidated subsidiary).; December 2014

We absorbed Nissetsu Co., Ltd., Kyoto Manufacuturing Site was established.; February 2015

Our Head Office moved to 16-2, 2-Chome Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
